What inspires your work?
I enjoy working with smart people on interesting projects that ultimately drive the success of the business. I’ve spent time across the spectrum with startups attempting to define new markets to mature companies streamlining existing processes. It’s all about making a difference.

What do you love doing in your spare time?
As of late, I’ve vowed to “learn something new each year”. Currently, I am in the midst of firing new synapses as I learn how to sail on the San Francisco Bay. As an engineer by training, sailing takes me back to physics courses as the wind is harnessed to move the boat. As an added bonus, sailing provides a new vantage point that showcases the Bay in all its glory!

What neighborhood would you be in your favorite city, and why?
After nearly 20 years, I still love the Lake Merritt section of Oakland. In circumference, the lake is some 3 miles and snakes it way through several distinct yet overlapping neighborhoods. It’s the Bay Area at its best. |
