Hi there.
I’m Steven Ramirez.
I’m the CEO of Beyond the Arc.
I just wanted to share my feedback and some impressions on a report that was published last week by Anthropic.
In that report, they talk about their analysis of millions of uses of the Claude platform and what it says about the state of generative AI today.
I think the key finding I mentioned in a LinkedIn post this weekend that sparked a lot of conversation is this: today, the state of the art is that AI can be very sophisticated, but it requires a very sophisticated approach to prompting.
I’d also say it requires prompting and context development to really get something actionable and usable out of AI.
If you’re thinking about AI as a chat platform, or as a way to answer questions, or respond to what might be a Google search, you’re only halfway there in terms of the journey.
It’s really about thinking through the workflows—how you actually get your job done on a daily basis—and how you might use AI, even on your desktop, to start automating some of those processes.
I think this sparks some really interesting possibilities for what we can do with AI next, and perhaps what you should be doing with AI now.
